Aided awareness is a term commonly used in awareness surveys. It refers to the percentage of people who say they are familiar with a brand after the interviewer has mentioned or listed it.
Aided awareness answers questions such as:
– Do you know …(brand name)?
– Which of these brands do you know?
– Which of the following brands of … do you prefer?
The assisted awareness rate is, by definition, always higher than the spontaneous awareness rate
