Design

« Back to Glossary Index

This term refers to a set of physical elements that are, for example, objects, symbols or others. The overall aesthetics of these elements are specifically designed to appeal to customers and provide a satisfying experience. Today, there are three types of design:

  • Corporate and brand identity design,
  • environmental design. These are, for example, the external signs,
  • Product design which is widely used in marketing. It includes several components, including packaging. Product design is mainly based on four elements: shape, color, words and numbers.

To meet the needs of the consumer, design works on the aesthetics as well as the functionality, ergonomics and economy of the product. It gives personality to the product and makes it different from those already available on the market.
