Point-of-sale advertising is a marketing communication technique commonly used at the point of sale. It allows to address directly the consumers thanks to the use of visuals and advertising supports on the spot. The company can, for example, set up :
– Posters and linear dressings,
– displays,
– signs and banners,
– floor decorations,
– audio messages,
– interactive information terminals,
– video screens, etc.

In concrete terms, point-of-sale advertising makes it possible to
– to enhance the value of a product or an offer. The layout of the point of sale must be designed to be attractive,
– to attract the attention of customers to this product or offer,
– to seduce customers and eventually influence them to buy.

Moreover, advertising at the point of sale also helps to memorize an advertising message.
