Telephone survey

This is a survey technique that is still widely used to collect information. It suggests contacting people in a sample group to ask them questions. Targets are called directly to their homes, or via their personal or business phone numbers.

Conducting a telephone survey is a complex task. People tend to lose patience quickly and hang up the phone. For an effective telephone survey, it is best to avoid long questionnaires. Asking callers to listen to an audio file is also a great way to keep their attention.
